Catherine Corsini directed her first film, Poker, in 1987. It was followed in 1994 by Lovers, which was shown in the Cinéma en France section at the 1994 Cannes International Film Festival. In 1998, she completed The New Eve, which screened in the Panorama section of the Berlin Film Festival and was a great success with critics and public alike when it was released in France. The film confirmed the enormous talent of lead actress Karin Viard. Corsini has also directed three TV dramas: Interdit d'amour, Jeunesse sans Dieu, and Denis. La répétition, with Emmanuelle Béart released in 2001 just followed by her fifth feature, Mariées mais pas trop (2002). She directed Les Ambitieux in 2006.
